The various incarnations of our program have been broadcasting on BlogTalkRadio off and on for almost five years now – and yes, recently we have been having connectivity problems with them that Jim has mentioned on the show. But we were nonetheless surprised when they announced just before Thanksgiving that they are going out of business. There are plenty of places online where you can broadcast live video – and we’re on most of them (notable exception: we got banned from Facebook; apparently Jim is very offensive…). But BTR has been pretty much the only place you can broadcast live audio-only – and take live phone calls to boot. They have no competition in this area; so in that sense, they will be missed.
Their last day of operations will be Friday, January 31st. However, our last day on BlogTalkRadio will be our last show before the Christmas break, Thursday, December 19th. And when we return on Monday, January 6th we will have arranged for a new phone number for you to call in live. Sometimes you just gotta take matters into your own hands….
